Better Vision through Better Technology.

State Of Art Technology

The doctors at Aggarwal Eye Hospital are totally committed to remaining on the cutting-edge of ophthalmic innovation and technology. We have the in-depth knowledge, years of experience and the very best technologies available on the market today. This combination ensures the best possible outcomes in patient’s vision and quality of life. It is part of our commitment to our patients to provide them with the best possible options. We know our focus on technology is worth the investment and our patients tell us they can truly see the difference.

Ophthalmic surgery is now a precise, sophisticated science, where surgeons rely on advanced technology to diagnose and treat problems such as glaucoma, corneal disease, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and cataracts. Many procedures that used to require a hospital stay and lengthy recovery are now performed on an outpatient basis with most patients returning to their normal activities the next day. And thanks to new laser vision correction technology, millions who were nearsighted, farsighted, presbyopic or had astigmatism are now free of glasses and contacts. Heavy patient demand for surgical and laser vision correction has inspired surgeons and laser manufacturers to make tremendous advancements in both Excimer laser technology and surgical technique.

This machine calculates approximate power of your spectacles and helps the doctor to give you a perfect power of glasses.

This is type of microscope with attached light which allows doctor to examine eye under high magnification. It is primarily used to view the anterior structures of the eye like cornea, lens and iris. However with the use specialized lenses, it is also possible to see the vitreous, retina and optic nerve with this.

It is a simple test of 5 minutes duration. Retina is examined through a beam of light going into the eye. It is a basic test and requires dilated pupil.

This is a gold standard for measuring pressure inside the eye i.e the intraocular pressure

It measure the intraocular pressure by optically detecting the momentary state of the cornea (applanated by air pressure) and measures intraocular pressure without touching the cornea.

A digital photo of the retina is captured and documented. Excellent diagnosis of many retinal conditions like diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration and retinal vascular occlusions can be made.

This is used to measure the curvature of front surface of the cornea. This reading is helpful in measuring the IOL power before cataract surgery. It is also used for the perfect fitting of contact lenses.

An optical biometer is primarily used in ophthalmology to measure the length of the eyeball, or axial length, which is crucial for diagnosing and treating conditions like cataracts and refractive errors (e.g., myopia or hyperopia). This measurement helps in determining the correct intraocular lens (IOL) power for cataract surgery.

An A-scan (amplitude scan) is an ultrasound test used in ophthalmology to measure the length of the eye, particularly the axial length, which is essential for calculating the correct power of an intraocular lens (IOL) during cataract surgery. It provides a one-dimensional representation of the eye’s internal structures, using sound waves to determine distances between the front and back of the eye, including the cornea, lens, and retina. The A-scan is crucial for accurate IOL power calculation and helps in diagnosing eye conditions like cataracts or myopia.

is a non-invasive technology used for imaging the retina, the multi-layered sensory tissue lining the back of the eye. OCT, the first instrument to allow doctors to see cross-sectional images of the retina, is revolutionizing the early detection and treatment of eye conditions such as macular holes, pre-retinal membranes, macular swelling and even optic nerve damage. There are 10 anatomic layers within the retina. OCT uses the optical backscattering of light to rapidly scan the eye and describe a pixel representation of the anatomic layers within the retina. Each of these ten important layers can be differentiated and their thickness can be measured. For certain conditions, such as age-related macular degeneration and cystoid macular edema, the 45 second OCT procedure is able to reduce or eliminate the need for fluorescein angiography for some patients.

Topographer is a computer assisted diagnostic tool that creates a three dimensional map of the surface curvature of the cornea. It gives a detailed, visual description of the shape and power of the cornea. Every lasik evaluation must include corneal topography, which gives a high resolution analysis of the cornea.

It is a simple, painless test to measure the corneal thickness. Pachymetry can help your diagnosis, because corneal thickness has the potential to influence eye pressure readings. With this measurement, your doctor can better understand your IOP reading and develop a treatment plan that is right for you.

A must for glaucoma patients Instantaneous results, analysis and reports available

The Leica Surgical Microscope is a high-performance optical instrument used in various surgical fields, including ophthalmology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) procedures. It provides enhanced magnification and visualization of the surgical site, allowing surgeons to perform delicate procedures with precision.

Auto Refractometer

This machine calculates approximate power of your spectacles and helps the doctor to give you a perfect power of glasses.

Applanation Tonometer

This is a gold standard for measuring pressure inside the eye i.e the intraocular pressure

Autokeratometer

This is used to measure the curvature of front surface of the cornea. This reading is helpful in measuring the IOL power before cataract surgery. It is also used for the perfect fitting of contact lenses.

Manual Keratometer

This is used to measure the curvature of front surface of the cornea. This reading is helpful in measuring the IOL power before cataract surgery. It is also used for the perfect fitting of contact lenses.

Non Contact Tonometer

It measure the intraocular pressure by optically detecting the momentary state of the cornea (applanated by air pressure) and measures intraocular pressure without touching the cornea.

Perimeter or Humphrey Field Analyser

The gold standard in glaucoma diagnosis and management
Advanced analysis tools backed by decades of research and clinical validation.
Helps to monitor diseases like optic neuritis, neuro-logical disorders, etc.

Slit Lamp

This is type of microscope with attached light which allows doctor to examine eye under high magnification. It is primarily used to view the anterior structures of the eye like cornea, lens and iris. However with the use specialized lenses, it is also possible to see the vitreous, retina and optic nerve with this.

CRS Master

For laser vision correction the corneal topo-graphy map is used in conjunction with the CRS master to calculate the exact amount of corneal tissue to be removed at every point on the corneal curvature to optimise the visual outcome.

ATLAS 9000 Corneal Topographer

Topographer is a computer assisted diagnostic tool that creates a three dimensional map of the surface curvature of the cornea. It gives a detailed, visual description of the shape and power of the cornea. Every lasik evaluation must include corneal topography, which gives a high resolution analysis of the cornea.

ZEISS (GERMANY) ND YAG LASER

This laser is used for 2 purposes: It is used for doing capsulotomy for the treatment of posterior capsular opacification. It is also used for doing peripheral iridotomy in patients with angle closure glaucoma.
